Science Comedy Writing

Internet writing and beyond
Whatever you need, we can write or edit it.

We create website content, science articles, blogs, presentations, speechwriting, advertising copy, and even love poetry for secret diaries. (That last one costs extra.)

Our specialties include scientific comedic writing and clear, explanatory content for lay audiences.

We can also help you brainstorm advertising campaigns, prep for media appearances, or develop an SEO strategy.

And yes—we assist with social media, too. We’re fluent in Instagram-ese, Facebook-ish, Twitter-ali, and half a dozen other dialects of the internet.

Speeches

Speech writing services
We’d love to not only write your speech, but also edit, condense, and sharpen it — whether that means turning your keynote into a crowd-pleaser, punching up your jokes, or coaching your delivery for maximum impact.

With years of professional speechwriting and comedy experience, we specialize in making science, technology, and health presentations both brilliant and genuinely fun to watch.

The Hello SciCom team has ghostwritten keynotes for international conferences, written jokes for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and speech-coached the founder of Black in AI for a talk before the Congressional Black Caucus. We’ve helped a billion-dollar healthcare CEO prepare for his interview with President Barack Obama, and coached speakers from Yale to Tokyo, including a 2,000-person SXSW EDU keynote, a PopTech talk at the Kennedy Center, and a comedy-and-AI workshop at IBM’s headquarters that drew their largest audience since a Nobel Prize winner (and was “funnier too”).

Our writing has powered science communicators, researchers, executives, and comedians alike — helping them deliver talks that audiences remember, quote, and share. From academic symposia to late-night stages, we make sure your words land every time.

Webseries Writing
Hello SciCom brings the writers’-room energy of television to the web. We’ve created and produced science-comedy series that turn complex tech into entertaining storytelling for digital audiences. Our work includes AI Avenue, a six-episode comedy-documentary for Cloudflare exploring the human side of artificial intelligence—hosted by Craig Dennis and his robot hand Yorick—which has already earned over 300,000 views in its first month of release.

We also write and produce Twilio Update, a long-running webseries that turns developer tools and product launches into witty, news-style tech segments. From scripting and storyboarding to field shoots and postproduction, we collaborate with creative teams to make every episode as funny as it is clear. The result: science communication that’s smart, visual, and impossible to scroll past.

TV Shows

Series writing Services
Hello SciCom has the distinct privilege of being the world’s greatest (and perhaps only) science-comedy writers’ room. We’re currently developing a science-comedy series for PBS.

We consulted on Limitless with Chris Hemsworth for National Geographic, a show that’s theoretically about longevity and, more realistically, about Chris taking his shirt off. We also created a physics-comedy pilot for National Geographic starring Sarah Silverman, Hakeem Oluseyi, and Michio Kaku.

Our founder appears in the recent Amazon Prime documentary My Robot Sophia, profiling her former company’s work on Sophia the Robot. Sarah got her start in science comedy as head writer for Neil deGrasse Tysons StarTalk, and has written for the likes of Paula Poundstone, Sasheer Zamata, Jane Goodall, Godfrey, and Chuck Nice.
